If you live in the beautiful "Land of 10,000 Lakes," the state of Minnesota is what we refer to as an unlicensed state, which means it does not regulate the practice of electrology through licensing.

If you want to become an electrologist in Minnesota, you do not need a state license to do so and you can easily become a trained electrologist by taking our electrology program offered here at AIE.

Why Electrology?

Electrology is a truly rewarding career and the opportunity to become a successful electrologist in Minnesota is wide open. Minnesota does not currently have any state electrology organizations to join, so we highly recommend becoming a member of the American Electrology Association (AEA) after graduation from your training here with us.

Upon graduation you will have a certificate of completion from a California State Licensed school and a sense of satisfaction knowing that you met training standards that could lead to licensure. In fact, if you decide to sit for the California licensing exam while enrolled, let us know and we will prepare you for a California Electrology license.

Students want flexibility. At AIE you have up to 1 year to complete your training should you need that much time. Program pricing includes tuition, registration and supplies. Partial scholarships are available for qualified students.

Over our 36 years, we've created a housing registry made up of homeowners who rent rooms to our out of town students. Daily rates are between 40 and 55 dollars per night, well below standard long term residential hotel rates.

The Director of AIE originally designed our Online Academy specifically for people who live in States and other countries where there are NO LICENSING regulations for Electrologists. If you reside in one of the following States, there are no licensing requirements for Electrologists. These States are: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Learning Made Easy

You can begin the online program the moment you receive your text book in the mail. When you have thoroughly read a chapter, go on line and download the Study Guide for each chapter. Study Guides provide you with definitions for new words and terms and help you focus on what is most important. When you feel that you are ready to test your knowledge, take the chapter's multiple choice test.

Learn at your own speed and on your own time.

The theory portion of your program can be taken at your leisure from the comfort of your home. You can participate in all of AIE's Online Programs from any computer with an internet connection. We've learned over the years that when students work toward their goals in a stress-free environment, learning is easier and becomes fun.

Completing the Online Program

Our staff is available by phone or email while you work through your theory. When you are close to completing your online work, simply contact us and let us know when you are ready to begin the "hands on" portion of your program at our Tustin, CA campus.
